Re: Towing a Deli behind an RV
I think manual hubs up front and a disconnecting driveshaft coupler that any drive line shop should be able to add. Good to go four down that way. Or since you are a Delica Guy how about an Old COE truck to shorten up the wheel base!! I would love an Argosy, but they are like gold dust. About twice...

Re: Towing a Deli behind an RV
Thanks guys, this is very interesting. I have read the other thread. Does anyone have suggestions on where to find a drive-shaft disconnect for the rear wheels?

Towing a Deli behind an RV
We are getting ready to semi-retire and hit the road full time later this summer. Probably going to use a converted HDT (Heavy Duty Truck) re-licensed as a motor home in Ontario pulling a 36' fifth wheel RV. If you want more information, this is forum has the most active members with HDTs... http://...

Re: Experiences with Silk Road Auto
I recently spoke with a fellow Delica owner who bought his from Silk Road Auto back when they first started. He ran off a list of things that were supposedly done when he bought it. I took a quick look at it was clear they weren't done (mechanical). Headlights = not E-code or DOT Tires = not DOT Th...

Re: Oil Change, one catch.. Need opinions
Hi, need some opinions Changing out my Rotella 0-40 synth for some warmer weather oil etc. It's been about 5,000 km (mostly highway kms). I thought I had an oil filter kicking around but I don't. Tons' of air filters and fuel filters but no oil filters. I just ordered a 6 pack of Baldwin's however ...

Re: How much does the Delica weigh?
According to the official Mitsy data a low roof (P25W) with NO options added weighs in as such: I don't have any data for the P35W (high roof or crystal lite) but you can add a fair bit just for the roof blinds alone! I weighed our Exceed Crystal Lite on the scales on the Pat Bay Highway when we we...

Re: Deli Camp - May Long Weekend?
You guys suck. I'm stuck at home in Central Ontario watching the network for problems, its pouring rain outside, really bucketing it down, about 10*C, the blackflies are out in full force, and now I'm being tortured by beautiful pictures of the Island and Delis. More seriously, I hope you all have a...

Re: How many delis a day?
We have the first Deli in Central Ontario and some days it like cleaning bugs off glass, the admrires are three deep. Where's it from, now old, diesel?, mileage, is it cool, how many does it hold, how clean to run is itm how long will it last? The most enthused are the ladies. I guess something abou...

Re: VHF
If you want a radio anyone can use, get FRS or CB. We use FRS all the time, works great. If you want to chat to other qualified Amateurs, use 2 metre band VHF (Laura, please correct me here). However, you still won't be able to talk to other Delis that don't have Amateur gear operated by Amateurs th...

Probably worse than that. If the resaurant has a contract with a grease company for removal, then they likely can't give it away to you for free without being in violation of that contract. I did some digging up here and that was exactly the case. Rothsay http://www.rothsay.ca/ is the 800lb gorrilla...

Re: CB antenna advice
Is it true that Loran C antenna are same as marine CB? If so would they work on Delica ? George ? Green1 ? Ruminante ? Anyone know for sure ? Jay has 2 Shakespeare LoranC antennas in the basement, which came off boats that used them for marine CB (channel 13 CB). (wow, things I never knew we had, a...
