Re: Lower Ball Joints
Still not too sure what you mean Jason. I took the cap off the wheel hub like you mentioned (this pic http://i.imgur.com/Zoqpmrwh.jpg) but I don't really understand how to undo something in there? Also, I got the top ball joint undone by using a metal arm I had lying around, propping it up against t...

Re: Lower Ball Joints
Could you be a bit more descriptive? How do I take the hub apart? Like do I have to take the brakes off, caliper, rotor, etc??

Lower Ball Joints
Hi all, I just took my 2.8D Pajero to the shop to get safety inspected. I'm not living in BC. It's a 1996 SWB model. He told me I need to get: DOT Headlights (easy enough from Canadian Tire, standard round headlights) Lower Ball Joints need to be replaced. So I bought the ball joints off him, front ...

Re: Trailer Hitch
Literally exactly what I was worried about regarding this trip had happened. I spoke with Rich he said the Pyro thing shouldn't be an issue with the 2.8 sub cause it's so light. Well I guess I packed too much. I was driving highway 3 after Creston to Castlegar. The entire way up the main steep parts...

Re: Suddenly won't start
Thanks. Yeah I hooked up a 10A charger to the glow plugs. The 2 that gave me good Ohm readings started glowing red hot almost right away. The other 2 did not glow AT ALL. So I've only got 2 out of 4 plugs working. With -20 temperatures and the possibility of my block heater not actually working, thi...

Re: Suddenly won't start
Could it be anything with the fuel system? Fuel pump? Where is the fuel pump located? I find it unlikely that all of a sudden all of my glow plugs could stop working at the same time. The other thing is that I don't think my block heater is working. Usually when it's plugged in I can hear a bit of a...

Re: Suddenly won't start
So I read some more and found how to test the relay box. I put my Ground of the multimeter on my battery and touched the black cable of the glow plug relay with the Positive (which is going to the battery) and it shows the 12V with ignition OFF. I touched the Positive to the other bolt which has a c...

Re: Suddenly won't start
So I read a bit on how to test and grabbed my multimeter. One thing said to test the voltage with the positive on the battery and the negative/ground on the top of the glow plug. I did this for each glow plug and got a ~12.something volt (I have an analog multi meter) reading for each glow plug. The...

Suddenly won't start
Hi all, I've been using my Pajero all Winter in Manitoba without issue. I've hardly had to plug it in. It has been running GREAT. I recent'y had the fuel injection pump seal replaced as I was having stalling issues mostly while the engine was still cold and it cleared those right up. Like I said, it...

Re: Trailer Hitch
Seems that RichD has disable private message receiving so I can't send him a message. Does he have an online shop that I can buy one of these pyro kits from?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Trailer Hitch
Ah yes! I was wondering about this. Thanks so much! I accidentally bought the Trailer side of the Flat 4 connector and half-already-wired it to my truck so I'm going to have to undo that work I did. I was at a local place today which had a "3 to 2" connector which from my understanding you...

Re: Trailer Hitch
Thanks for your help thus far guys. I have a question regarding hooking up the flat 4 trailer lights connector. I've got my rear tail lights housing off of the truck right now and I used a multimeter to find out which wires are for what functions. Black - Ground Green - Brakes Green/White - standard...

Ok well it sounds like a good idea. Where do I get it and is it easy to install myself/any instructions for installing?
Thanks

Re: Trailer Hitch
What is a Pyro? Someone mentioned up there "having a pyro is a good idea." Also I bought this hitch instead. http://www.canadianhitches.ca/?s=CURT+Trailer+Hitch+%2313091&submit_search=&post_type=product It's a Class III instead of a Class II like the one listed above. Not sure why ...

Central/Remote Locking or Keyless Entry
Hi guys, I've got a 96 pajero SWB (3 door) that already has electronic/actuated locks. Example....I unlock the driver side door and it unlocks all the doors. I want to get a keyless system so since they are already electronic can I just buy something like this that I can tie into the system to allow...
