Should be same as Montero, or you could also adapt one, like say one for an egr vac. solenoid from a Ford etc...

Re: mystery leak

Most likely a/c. You can try and duplicate this by turning on your a/c and seeing where/ what drips down. Would't hust to take a peek at fluid levels and check for leaks just in case.

Re: Sudden Oil Leak Developped

I had an oil-change done recently at "real canadian oil change" in North Vancouver Why not go back and explain that ever since you had your oil changed you have developed an unusual oil leak? It would also only take any competent shop about 30min on a hoist to give you a full report on al...

Re: Power Steering for a newbie.

Tyler, your power steering fluid is likely just low due to a slow leak. When the fluid is cold it has a lower volume (molecules get closer together) and thus will not fully cover the pump vanes causing the noise as the pump tries to push both oil and air together. As the fluid warms up it expands an...

Re: A/C Compressor replacement

I would suggest getting a second opinion on the leak just to be sure. Also be aware that replacement compressors are available but expensive ($300-$500), so to replace your compressor just because it "possibly may be bad" would be silly. If your condensor is actually leaking, replace it, i...

Re: Ford Ranger Mitsu 4D55 Engine Compatibility?

I would rather spend a few hundred extra and get nice low mileage JDM unit. There are many importers that can help you out. Rebuilds rarely are of the same quality as a OEM engine.

Re: Starter compatibility

Firesong, I agree with the previous posts, likely your starter is OK, but your flywheel teeth have some bald spots. I have a 92 Pajero and I know I have some bald spots on my ring gear right now, but can live with it. The trick is to just "tap" the starter and avoid grinding the gears. Doi...

Re: My deli baby is making noise

Sorry to hear about your situation, hopefully it is not to expensive to fix. In the meantime, stop driving it and chek all basics ( fluid levels and condition, fuel contamination, cam timing, valve adjustment etc...). Unfortunatly the information you provided is very limited. Short of bringing it to...

Re: Major oil leak - looking for opinions

Remember the age of your van first of all, hoses and lines have been doing their job well for some time. Chances are during the oil change the line/ fitting was disturbed or knocked causing a weak point to now fail. Give your shop the benefit of the doubt and give them a chance to address the issue ...

Re: A/C orfice plugged?

This is not caused by a plugged orifice. Your a/c system has a high pressure cutout pressure switch that will cut power to the a/c clutch when pressures get too high. Make sure your drive belt is in good condition (not glazed, cracked, worn out), and properly tensioned. There is also the possibility...

Re: A/C orfice plugged?

What happens is a few seconds after I turn the A/C on the compressor stops turning.
This is normal. The clutch is supposed to cycle. You need to check your air duct/ ice box temps. and also your refrigerant pressures for a more accurate diagnosis.
You may have nothing wrong.
