91 Pajero 2.5TDI - Need Front Axle Disconnect Vacuum Sol.

Post by rwaterhouse »

Hi;

Trying to get rid of those pesky flashing wheels on the SuperSelect panel. It appears that the yellow dot vacuum solenoid is dead (open resistance). Any suggestions as to where to get one? New or good used.

I'm in Wetaskiwin, Alberta BTW

Cheers

Should be same as Montero, or you could also adapt one, like say one for an egr vac. solenoid from a Ford etc...

Usually the place you bought it from is a good place to start!

What if he bought it privately or imported it himself ?

To the OP

1993 Montero V6, Sport and SR North American models will work.

You can find parts online

Yes, i bought it privately from some random guy in Edmonton, got a really good deal as it has a number of small things like this wrong with it, but is mechanically very sound. I've had it almost a month and am very happy with it. I'm getting just over 25 MPG on a mix of about 90% highway and 10% city driving, which in my mind is astounding for a 7 passenger 4x4.

Anyway, any suggestions for online sites? My usual goto place is rockauto.com and they don't have these parts.

Cheers

Hi Roger

Here is a good place although can be expensive (dealer cost) .

https://www.mitsubishiparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html

Also, you should be able to order it through NAPA here in Canada.
