LHD Conversion, thoughts?
I saw there is a company that sells conversion kits for the 1994 to 1997 Delica Space Gear. Costs $1700USD, so not too horrible of a price. http://www.japan-partner.com/LHD-conversion.php Just wondering how many people here have done this? Also wondering if this kind of thing would pass inspection i...

Re: Importing vehicles from abroad (large list of exceptions
with the exceptions you put: 1,3-7- the only way to bring one in is if it meets canadian safety standards and has a manufacturers plate on the vehicle stating so ( none made outside of North America will have this) or if you can get a letter from the manufacturer stating that it does comply to cana...

Importing vehicles from abroad (large list of exceptions)
Greetings folks, I've been looking into importing a Delica from abroad, specifically an LHD version, among other diesel vehicles we can't get in Canada like L200 Tritons, Toyota Hiluxes, Ford Rangers, and Jeep Wranglers, and I came upon a Memorandum listing a bunch of exceptions, among them the typi...

Re: Has anyone registered a Delica in NB recently??
They have Delicas in Taiwan as well, which is an LHD country. So if NB is hassling, or insurers won't insure or give decent rates, Taiwan is another option.

WD40 isn't a lubricant, it is a penetrating fluid.

Re: 4d56u
You can get the 4d56u (aka Triton engine) for about $2750 as a reconditioned motor, shipping not included. I have also found a place that sells just the bare head for $1000, but then you would need to buy all the additional parts for the head. You can find the head on eBay as well, for around $1000....

Re: L300 or L400 for hard offroad
With a set of portal axles for lift, as well as a wider wheelbase/stance, the L300 could become even more of a monster.

Re: Life after the L300?
From some scouring of the internet, I have found out that supposedly you can get a brand new 4d56 engine (L200) for around $3400 + shipping as a crate motor. They come from Hyundai though. But if they are the Gen 3 like everything seems to indicate, you would be running around 175HP and 295ft-lbs or...

LHD Conversion
Greetings all, I was wondering if anyone has done a LHD Conversion before? I found this company that sells the kits for $1700. http://www.japan-partner.com/LHD-conversion.php I don't own a delica yet, but I plan on getting one before summer, and found the idea of a LHD version to be intriguing.
