Does anyone know what this is?
Circled in red is a pull lever that I can't figure out. If anyone knows what this is or what it does that would be much appreciated.

That's clearly your samurai sword.
Actually, it's something aftermarket/dealer installed. My backup sensor switch is there.
Also: Auto Step!??!!?!? I don't have that. Is it a powered running board?

I think you manual idle or throttle control switch. Remember reading something about it on the UK site. Samari Sword switch is way cooler though.

Re: Does anyone know what this is?
Isn't that the flux generator tab adjustment knob that works in tandem with the flux capacitor? I understand that it allows you to be in two places at once, depending on how you set it ~ hence the squiggly line running off the side of the Samurai sword. It only came with certain Space Gears that were equipped with the space/time continuum drives. It's pretty rare, eh? The cool thing is you can be double booked at two Delica mini-meets, yet be able to make both of them. Wicked.

Re: Does anyone know what this is?
Ha ha looks like its a mystery to all...
Well I can tell you this, the throttle control exists and is on the other side as mentioned by others so this is something different.
Yes the Autostep is for the running board to slide out, however only under the sliding door as the other two (driver and passenger) are fixed. Would have been great if they all did as it helps a lot with getting up into this tall bugger.
Lastly and this is a long shot... I have a full 2" heavy duty 7 pin trailer hitch on this thing and have not found any controllers for it. Is it possible this is the trailer brakes? Would like to know if anyone has seen that picture/image before on any make or model.
Although.... come to think of it I haven't tried taking it up to 85MPH and hitting it to see if it is a flux capacitor??!?! Not sure if 85MPH would be survivable....

Re: Does anyone know what this is?
Does it have a snorkel? I wonder if its a type of bypass flap for the air intake....
Never seen a pull type control in that position on a stock Mitsubishi 4x4.
All part of the mystery of getting a JDM!

Re: Does anyone know what this is?
To me it looks like some sort of manual interior ventilation flap control. Either this or some way of closing off the intercooler intake but I would question why one would want to do this. Please tell what you find!

This might help solve the mystery. Nothing nearly as cool as we were hoping.

Re: Does anyone know what this is?
Okay first off and most importantly.... it is 88MPH not 85MPH and the sad part is my wife even corrected me earlier this evening, so I am utterly embarrassed that I failed and that I am less cool than she is.
Secondly and more to the point, thank you for the links/info. That is actually very good news for me since it is so freaking cold out here so often and for so long.... hee hee. This will go a long way to helping the Diesel age better and breathe happier in this unforgiving cold.
Case closed thank you all esp CREGAN!
If nothing else I got a good laugh out of this post, better than a soft sob over some broken parts.

Yeah Libor, you are soooooo uncool. It must hurt.... but you know ~ not to worry... smiles ~ the space time continuum feature only came in the Starwagon (L300) anyway.Libor wrote:...and the sad part is my wife even corrected me earlier this evening, so I am utterly embarrassed that I failed and that I am less cool than she is. ...

Hi folks,
Is it an imposition to ask what the middle rocker switch in the top row of three is for? The one with the wiper/water sign on it.
