Re: Handbrake light comes on (and off) when going over bumps...
Seemed to be that my brake fluid level was reaching the 'low' part on the fluid reservoir. Topped up and now the light is off for good. Any idea how the fluid dropped over the past year? Brakes seem to be working great and I replaced the hoses on the front calipers last year .....

Handbrake light comes on (and off) when going over bumps...
Some good off roading and the daily commute over endless speed bumps has my handbrake light staying on most of the time now......everything seems normal at the handbrake base so I am assuming it is coming from near the brakes?? Has anybody had this issue? Is there a sensor somewhere that needs adjus...

Start up problems.....still (same boat as Green 1??)

For the last few days since 2 of 4 glow plugs were replaced it started great....idling needed to be adjusted but that was it. Now I am back to crap cranking and my battery is isn't taking it too well either. Whe...

Rough starting when cold......
My Deli has had an eventful beginning to the new year. I had a new glow plug relay installed after the poor thing was stolen and damaged with a screw driver to the ignition. After it was fixed at a dealer it was firing up no problem over the past few weeks even in the minus temps. Last week on my ow...

Re: Squealing Fan Belt
I had this noisy squealing-at-start-up problem for a few weeks now and yesterday went under the van to see if i could tighten the alternator belt(s). There are 2 skinny ones on the alternator and YES they were fairly loose. HOLY JEEZ did I ever have a huge job just to get a socket and spanner on tha...

Has anyone imported a Deli from UK yet.....
Ok so I might get the ball rolling on this. I purchased a Deli L300 in Manchester a year ago for dirt. With the price of fuel and most brits driving new 50mpg cars, Sweet L300 and L400s are selling for around 4000-5000 cdn. A very unforgettable road trip of Europe in a Deli, turned into a job and ni...

Re: Calling all glow plugger's .... come out again!
OK so I put the screw driver back in the ignition and this time turned back.....now the ignition no longer seems to be in the 'ON' position. Now everything is off and fine, however still no glow plugs engaging. Long day and I am out ......but thank you for all the good ideas. Insurance might be taki...

Re: Calling all glow plugger's .... come out again!
Will no doubt get going with just the things that have been wrecked and thanks marameisto...... having the ECU being timed out due to a fubar ignition sounds very probable....but I did notice something else just now. The ignition/key mechanism is composed of two parts......the main piece which mates...

Calling all glow plugger's .... come out again!
See my post in the General Forum regarding my stolen Delica.... But to make things simple, I seem to have no glow plugs engaging due to an ignition that was hacked up with a screwdriver. I am thinking that this awful way of starting my van without the key has somehow burnt them out...... - Could thi...

Re: Delica stolen....with a screwdriver.
Hello again, So I returned to the scene today with my battery fully charged up, some extra fuel and a battery booster. Even with the battery topped up I did not hear the glow plugs engaging with their clicks.......and the fuel was still in there....so really it was time to spray starter fluid into t...

Delica stolen....with a screwdriver.
Hey all. Well as a Canadian living in Norway I really overestimated the security of my van even here where most people still don't even lock up their bicycles. I took a short trip using the excellent train system and left my van in the parking lot overnight as many people do. Well that feeling I hop...

Re: Spotted a deli in AU from CAN!?
That's a Mitsu badged Hyundai H100, very common van in Europe/Asia and not a bad work/cargo van. However the true long wheel base Deli is just that, stripped down, stretched, maunal transmission and badass 4x4. Most of the models over here in Norway are just that......workhorses for sure espcially w...
