Re: Beef with Rising Sun and Assiniboine
spelling <shrug> since you still have not helped out others by posting the part numbers, cost and where you found the seals, are you any better than the businesses that didn't help you out? Friday is long gone. how did you help anyone with this thread? no one. NONE of the businesses did you wrong, b...

Re: Beef with Rising Sun and Assiniboine
no one is spouting off, each took your post and gleaned the information needed. seals do not suddenly quit, they are a wear item. so unless you were driving across a long grass covered plain where the grass could get wraped around a shaft and tear out the seal, then that seal was weeping for a while...

Re: Beef with Rising Sun and Assiniboine
so, what is the issue? you called 5 different shops and they DECIDED to not help you, which is the right of a business or a individual. no one is under the obligation to help another BUT they could have. being you pulled the original seal the day before a long weekend was YOUR choice, nobody forced ...

Re: advice please
what ends up happening is under too much boost the air is heated (compression creates heat, heat causes air to expand) it is recommended that you run an intercooler if over 14 psi but some vehicles use an intercooler for all boosting. the size of turbo housing and impellers will relate to when the b...

Re: Good procedure for pulling the L300 engine?
when i rebuilt the one in the L300, the shop dropped the engine/tranny/tcase out the bottom, set it on a cart and removed the tranny and accessories at that time. clean and easier than through the cab.

Re: Tall guy in a low roof
depends if you have a long trunk or long legs...
i am long in the trunk and found the low roof to be acceptable and the high roof with sunroof to be cramped...
the highroof with no sunroof is really nice.

Re: This is not what I expected!!
24 mpg highway not bad for a brick on wheels at 110 k/h try slowing down to 90, remember these vehicles are geared for 80 k/h (speeds in Japan). it seems every 10 k/h increase in average speed decreases fuel mileage by 2 mpg. so try a slow steady drive on some back roads and see what your fuel milea...

Re: Looking to buy from Alberta - advice?
i am not big on trust either and i buy from all over the world now. similar to the Delica comunity the Land Cruiser world is a small tight nit bunch (biggest difference being the value of the product being purchases) so i use these connections to inspect the units. when i bought from Brisbane recent...
