Re: installing stereo

get a 1991 Dodge Colt headunit adapter So does that unit mate with the existing connectors in the Delica so you can use the wires to connect to from the new stereo? ALso I read in another post by Noel that JVC Stereos are already compatible with the Delica connectors? ALso BTW, for anyone looking f...

Re: Delica interior wear

I also recall being told that the Chamonix also had Limited Slip Differential (I know mine does at least), and apparently the bars are chrome instead of enamel. It doesn't have a outside temperature guage on the dashboard pod with the altimeter and clinometer. If I were purchasing from Japan my crit...

MardyDelica That confirms some of my suspicions. My best friend lives in the Philippines 6 months of the year. He lives on Palawan in Puerto Princessa and Port Barton, commuting between to two once a week. It is a 4 or 5 hour drive, part of which is on unpaved, potholed and in the rainly season, a v...

I just realized I need to educate myself better. I assumed all Delicas were LHD, Diesel, and 4WD or "AWD" as it were. But, I see one listed as gas here: http://www.terra2imports.ca/import-japan117246772229297.htm -Is this an error or are there gas Delicas? -Are there 2WD Delicas? -Did they...

Thanks Guys, Well I just did hear back from Terra2 and they have been real busy it seems clearing multiple shipments this week. So Sean the clarification is great. I don't know if you had a chance to look at my spreadsheet, but if it is even remotely close, it would seem to indicate partially doing ...

I also wondered about whether it was a Delica until I saw it written on it. I was not suprised at all by the "gruelling" course. Having lived in Tokyo, and presently living in a town with a giant Japanese subculture, it made sense in the same way it was no suprise to me that used 1991 Deli...

New Delica Test Drive Video

Just came across this video apparently shot April 22: http://2.upload.dailymotion.com/tag/auto/video/x1s6r6_mitsubishi-delica-test-drive I took a quick look and it didn't appear to be mentioned here so hope I am not repeating someone else's post. They say: "Duration: 02:29 Taken: 22 April 2007 ...

Sorry about the mistake, Luxury Imports. Anyway, this may be of interest. My initial spreadsheet example is for the wheelchair unit that is listed at japan auto direct FOB Japan for 400000 Yen and Terra2 FOB Vancouver for $7990.00 CAD. Based upon a fee breakout I got from j-cars.com, it would appear...

Thanks psilosin, some good points worth considering. I asked Terra2 on Monday about inspections for Alberta, no reply as yet so this aspect is still an unknown for me. I'll have to ask Green1 to shed some light on that aspect of it if possible. So far I have had recommended Japan Auto Direct, Braveh...

Thanks Sean, Good to hear the positive feedback on Terra2. The brokerage fee from Courtney is $250.00. Of course that does not include the cost of preparing for compliance, getting the vehicle to and onto the ship in Japan (apparently about $350.00), getting it off the ship in Canada (drayage fee: $...

Thanks guys, both of you for the great info. The only other one I talked to today was AL from Courtney who gave me some good cost breakdowns. So I'll keep working on a spreadsheet and collecting info. Crushers, that unit that you are getting into transit right now has got to be the nicest I've seen,...

Just returned from sea kayaking in the Broken Group and of course while in Tofino learned there was such a thing as a Delica, now I'm hooked and I've never been near one physically. A friend tells me he often sees one in Banff however, Green1 would that be you? I'm just trying to get a handle on the...
