Re: Coolant gurgling

Nick I HAD a BWS 50 for over 7 years. It was my daily rider to work and errands EXCEPT when it was raining or snowing. 30 kms return trip. Saved me a lot on gas and insurance. Was extremely happy with it for over 30,000 kms. It all ended Oct 1, 2012. On my way to work at 3:30 pm, Someone passed and ...

Re: Metal Jerry Cans

I have a 20L and a 5L of these jerry cans. They came with the trailer I bought. PO used them for carrying spare fuel for his generator. The rubber seals on the lid and the spout has now deteriorated and it leaks when transferring diesel to the van's fuel tank. Oil and rubber do not work too well may...

Re: Two in one trip report

The trailer manufacturer specs says it is 2185 dry weight. I carry minimal 5 gallons in the fresh water tank to keep the weight to a minimum plus camping gear, food and others so maybe a total of 300 to 400 lbs. I put in an Airlift 1000 Airbag. Sorry can't remember the model number but it was for a ...

Re: Air bag support for rear suspension

I put in an Airlift 1000 Airbag. Sorry can't remember the model number but it was for a 95 Montero. Fairly easy install.
My back end used to sag and bottom out every dip and bump.

Re: Problem with L400 tempereature gauge

Al, I have heard of a second sensor on the l400. I think I had replaced the correct sensor 2x because the temp gauge falls back to zero when I remove the wires. I will however look for the second sensor as a back-up solution. Thanks. Big-Bird, Thanks for the links to the manuals. I am mechanically/e...

Problem with L400 tempereature gauge

On the way back from Ocean Shores, Wa. in early July, while towing my trailer, I noticed that the temperature gauge was sitting at about one third from the bottom. We drove home to Vancouver that night thinking nothing of it. The next morning as I fired up the Blue Traveller, the position of the nee...

Re: L400 speakers and sound insulation

Glenn, I do not know the sizes but I think the adapter would be the same. The microphones I have are the common ones used in PA systems so I do not need any adapter. Looking at the slave unit, you could see a bigger knob marked "power - volume". Turn it to on position and you have music fr...

Re: Two in one trip report

Nick,
Airbags were added a week after we returned from the Ocean Shores trip. I could actually hear and feel the suspension bottoming out the entire trip so it had to be done.
I will post a picture the next time I have the trailer in tow. :-)

Re: spare key

I went to Cambodian Tire two times to have two keys copied. Both failed.
My next stop was Home Depot on Terminal Ave. Two keys were perfect on the first try.
Ask for Mitsubishi blanks. Dodge might work too.

Two in one trip report

We named our Spacegear the Blue Traveller hoping to do a lot trips, long and short. However due to work and other commitments, many trips did not materialize. Last year in early July, we made a 9 day trip to the coast of Oregon starting from Astoria. We enjoyed the beauty and sights of the Oregon co...

Re: L400 speakers and sound insulation

Hi Glenn, My reply is with regards to your question number three only. I also have a Royal and the karaoke system is intact. My only music comes from the CDs with the changer under the passenger seat. I also have an amp under the driver seat. And I have two microphones semi permanently attached into...
