Re: not holding charge!

If your battery is not holding charge, chances are your it is due for replacement. Before buying a new one however, it will be best to have an auto electrician check ff 1) alternator to see if it is sending charge 2) cables (+) and (-) to make sure there is continuity 3) open electrical lines that a...

Re: A good alternative alternator

Hi! If you find difficulties in your search for a 90Amp alternator for your L300, you may find the 110 Amp alternator for Hyudai Starex a good alternative. Fits perfectly to a L-300 4D56T engine, no bracket to alter, just align and tighten. Produces a good supply of electricity too. You won't go wro...

Re: Removing road tar from vehicle

Hi!

A 10-1 mixture of water and kerosene will be a good way of removing road tar from your vehicle's body.

It is gentle on paint and hands and not expensive.

Glad to be of help :-D .

Re: Lights... lights... and more lights... WHY?

Hi Jensen,

The 110amp 12V alternator they use in Hyundai Starex vans is a perfect fit for the mounting/bracket of the 4D56T engine in my Delica L300. No alteration was necessary. On top of that, its performance is awesome.

Re: Lights... lights... and more lights... WHY?

Yes, alt carbon brushes like other parts are replaceable. For persistent charging problems consider having it changed. A 110amp 12V alt they use in Hyundai Starex vans will be a good choice. When having an alt change, it is best that you have your battery condition checked simultaneously because a b...

Overdrive problems

Hi guys. I need your expert advice. I had the injection pump in my L300 Diesel A/T repaired because of a nasty fuel leak. I also had the fuel nozzles cleaned for better consumption. The fuel leak is gone but I am now experiencing a new problem. Prior to said repair, the van automatically switches to...

Re: Sap/resin stains... or bumps....

Hi!

It maybe worth trying kerosene. I used that in removing bubble gum, bitumen residues and some sap. It is generally gentle on car finishes. As a rule of thumb tho, test on a small spot first.

Re: Charging woes

Hi Firesong, hello everyone! I'm new in Delica Canada, perhaps the newest in the club and this is my debut post. I own an L300 P25W with a 4D56T engine and had similar alternator woes. Per experience, the alt warning does NOT light up each time something goes wrong with the system. For example, it m...
