Re: Radiator thickness
Hmmm My core thickness is 1.5 inches with an outside bracket width of 2.25 inches; there is a half inch gap between the front of the rad and the bracket. Width is the same as yours. But top to bottom is about 18.5 inches. Does your rad look anything like mine? In the photos you can see the gap betwe...

Radiator thickness
A strange question but would anyone be able to measure the thickness of an original radiator for a L300? My Deli is a '92. I replaced my radiator but I think the replacement may not be the correct one. I've been told it may not be thick enough and therefore not have enough capacity to cool sufficien...

Re: Alternator saga
Problem solved - there was a short that caused the battery to get overcharged and blew the alternator at the same time. Fix the wire, rebuild the alternator, a new battery and we're good to go.

Re: Starting Problems when cold (more of them)
Not sure where you are from but I live in Alberta so we had to deal with this issue. This is how I've been able to get my van running with temps down to -30: - Delica tune @ CVI - Fuel conditioner with cetane boost. The one that Mardy recommends has worked best but I can't find it in Alberta, can't ...

Re: Alternator saga
I've been thinking the same thing - I think the voltage regulator is part of the alternator in this case but it may not have been replaced during the rebuild for some reason. The alternator is at the same rebuild shop right now so hopefully I'll have a better idea what is going on with it and what h...

Alternator saga
Wondering if anyone can help me out here: - 18 months ago during routine maintenance my mechanic suggested I switch out my alternator as it was not charging properly and would probably fail soon. So we replaced it with a new one from Max Overdrive. - Drove from Banff to Revelstoke soon after (300 km...

-28 in Banff yesterday and Scout started up no problem. It wasn't always that easy though, here's what we've done to make it happen: - Installed an inline rad hose heater, yesterday he was plugged in for 8 hours before start up but I bet I could have got away with 4-6 hours - Installed a manual glow...

Re: Coquihalla Highway In the Delica
Since September I've driven Banff-Revelstoke via Rogers Pass multiple times, Banff-Vancouver a couple of times and Banff-San Diego once. Don't think I dropped much below 80 kph due to a hill at any point and the revs never seemed to be an issue.

Maximum Overdrive in Vancouver has them on their website maxoverdrive.ca. They included the basket when I bought the vehicle.

GLC Fuel Systems in Calgary checked my injection timing.
I have a Delica roof basket I can sell you, never used, still in the box, $200. I'm in Banff so it would be easy for you to pick up.
