Re: Relearning an idle?

What I found through investigation with this issue on the internet is that letting the engine idle after connecting the battery is the way to go....however! I also have to do a throttle body cleaning. I took mine to my dealer and had them do it. Idles perfectly now in all situations.

Relearning an idle?

I replaced my alternator this weekend and when I restarted the van and drove it I immediately noticed a very low idle at stop, roughly 100 to 200 RPM which is almost enough to stall, and low enough to cause oil starvation. How do I relearn the idle?

In need of a muffler

Well after 22 years my original muffler has slight hole in it, but most of all it has lost the exhaust pipe from the muffler back. I need a new muffler and then I will have someone here bend and install a new pipe for me. Any idea where I can find a new muffler for my van? My van is a 1990 LS.

Distributor connector

It seems as though after a head gasket replacement by my local Mitsu dealer my 1990 Van LS has a miss. The tech seems to think it is the wiring that comes out of the distributor. So I am in need of the connector or a complete distributor. Any ideas or help?

Re: Radiator for a US Van/Wagon owner

I have looked into both and they are about the same price. I was hoping to just buy a new one vs. recore. Oh well. I have found some in Taiwan and other places oversees.

Re: Maintenance Light Reset?

R. Costa, Thank you for the reply. I have had by dash apart many times to try and fix a speedo cable issue so this reset should be a snap. I just don't remember a black slide switch...but there again I wasn't looking for one at the time. Thank you so much. I will let you know the results. Hey by the...

Re: Maintenance Light Reset?

No it is not the exclamation with a circle. It is MAINT REQD written in red letters. This is also a 1990Mitsubishi Van/Wagon that was sold here in the states. The light is generally for large mile marks and the required maintenance need at such time.

Maintenance Light Reset?

Hi everyone. You have a newbie here. I have owned my Mitsubishi Van for 20 years now and LOVE it. I need to know how to reset my maintenance light that is on the dash. I have always taken it to my dealer for service, but with the loss of a job and little income at the moment I need to do this myself...
