Re: Turbo Trouble

Mamalou did you ever get to the bottom of this problem? I am experiancing the exact problem , but have not driven my van all winter , so am just looking at it now . I posted a thread back in Nov., http://www.delica.ca/forum/l400-wastegate-valve-13959.html ) and got the same replies from the good fol...

Re: L400 wastegate valve

Excellent information from everyone, thanks very much. I'll give it a go this weekend and relay the results. I'll try to get some good pictures to post documenting the problem and hopeful fix.

Diver what lube do you recommend for the actuator rod? Wouldn't that just burn off?

Cheers,

Re: L400 wastegate valve

Thanks RichD and Tonydca for the great info. I'll dig deeper and take a look at the actual wastegate valve too. The popoff valve when I took it off was amazingly clean and there is no indication on the firewall of excessive soot. This popoff valve feels very easy to open to me so this may be the pro...

L400 wastegate valve

I have been having trouble with my L400, with what I believe is the wastegate valve. It problem is, under load(going up hill or harder acceleration) there would be a sudden load hiss coming from what sounded like the defrost vents , but of course it was not from there , but in the engine compartment...

Re: CV Boots and leaking brake fluid

The fluid in question feels and smells like brake fluid . That in conjunction with the mushy brake pedal. If I hadn't seen the fluid spewing I would be thinking the master cylinder was gone.
thanks

CV Boots and leaking brake fluid

Well I had to abort a greatly anticipated summit attempt of Mount Baldy up near Little Fort on Saturday. Half way up while stopped at an abandoned mine adit I noticed the brakes were mushy, and then upon closer examination saw the leaking brake fluid and also a torn inner CV boot(not related) . So h...

Re: Cost of diesel... WTF?!

The other day the price of reg. gas in Kamloops was $1.09 /L. I filled up the deli at $1.37/L. Felt like I was being bent over and taking it up the tail pipe, when the guy filling up his car next to me said "hey nice van , but sucks to be filling it up today hey!" Yes , it is what it is un...

Re: speed at coquihala

Further to this issue with the "Ppppppsssssssssst" sound. I still seem to be getting this noise even under modest acceleration. As soon as I back off a tad the noise ends. Is that preasure relief valve the culpret ? Is it something to be concerned with. Is there a fix noted somewhere on th...

I'll give it a go up here in Kamloops . I've noticed an increase in fuel consumption now the temperature has dropped. I'll report back after a few fills
