Pajero RIP

Post by kpsxtyone »

Had my pajero for 3 years now but due to unforeseen mishap was written off. (no fault and wife was safe). A suburban crossed the median and hit the Pajero on the local road.

I was able to remove some parts before the insurance company took the truck. Hope it does interest you.

Here she was before the hit.

Shame about your truck. Good to read that all are safe.

Wicked rims. I like the dash pod - what does it do?

That sucks! Such a wicked looking Paj as well. Why don't you save some of these sweet things and put them on another?

its actually a replacement for the 3 gauges ontop the centre console. In Japan you have an option to install a DVD navigation. this is the housing you will need. Its very rare.

I would have gotten another but didn't have enough time. We only had the Pajero as our only work horse coz we knew it would last long and didn't need another car.

only had like 3 weeks before insurance took the rental back.

This would be nice addition to another enthusiast so posted it here first before kijiji :)

Very sorry to hear. Glad everyone is o.k. Without sounding ghoulish, do you have after pictures? I'm wondering how it held up.

Good thing you were on the right side of your vehicle, further from the impact.

Oh, wife... right. Glad no injuries anyway. Which reminds me; one thing I don't like about RHD is that passenger can't be let in/off at curb.

So the screen is only for GPS, or it had a cool LCD display for the three gauges that it replaced? I know some of the newer skylines had a screen that would display various info, from basic engine temps to a G-force indicator etc... What function did you use the screen for??

The Screen was used to play dvd movies :) I had a HU with video output.

I got the screen housing and put a 7' LCD screen. I wanted the OEM look instead of making a housing to put the screen.
