Anyone know of a good paint for hubs?
I am starting to prep for my next project, flare and wheel clearance mods as well as mud flaps, and I would like to paint the hubs. I can't find any center caps for these rims (all my internet searches come up with soccer team photos) so I will probably black them out. Any good recomendations on paints to use? I just want it to be durable. Or better yet if anyone knows where to get some center caps that would solve my problem right there. Thanks
Here is a pic of one of them: Craig

Ah- just found on the Paj-brit forum that they are called Raguna D-Force wheels. Here is what they should look like:

As another possible option:
Pick up an anti rust spray bomb from Cdn - Lord - Pa or whomever; get one of those toothbrush sized wire brushes and have at 'er. Also use the red 3M Scotch PadsTM to clean up amidst the bolts and grooves &c.. See if you have a "White & Peters" in town, or any other auto paint suppliers, they should have good commercial quality black anti rust bombs ~ then a top coat with gloss black (or?) spray paint.
Falco.

for all that effort and cost just wash the grease off the hub and paint it with POR 15. a small can should do all 4 hubs and more. you are on alberta roads, no matter how pretty you make them, they will rust again and paint will chip.
the caps would be the best option but not sure how hard they are to find.

Re: Anyone know of a good paint for hubs?
After a lot of google translating with a company in Japan called Frontline/Epsiron that sells these particular wheels, I believe I will have my greasy paws on a set of center caps shortly. Getting the larger size (100 mm) to clear the front hubs as recommended by them. I did a whole bunch of measuring and I think I have found the right ones. About $35 a cap but I plan on keeping these rims for my next van, and the van after that
Will post some pics when they arrive.

Those are some sweet rims I would go for the center caps too.

Well, payment sent. They came to 10900 yen or about $144. They say it will take 2-4 weeks. Now I wait. If they don't fit hopefully someone here wants to buy some expensive chrome ashtrays.

Re: Anyone know of a good paint for hubs?
Center caps arrived today! So pumped that they came so quick. Man they are pretty, and I slid one over the outside of the hub and they fit like a glove...so far. Funny how something from Japan, or I have ordered bits from Australia, seem to come here faster than something from Vancouver!?! Anyway, just trying to figure out a way to rotate my tires so i can put the new caps on and work on the wheel wells a bit (mudflaps and clearence issues). My floor jack in my garage doesn't go high enough so I have been using the OE bottle jack and it works pretty good. Anyone know of a safe way of doing this?

I thought i saw something at canadian tire just for what you are trying to do, I think they were called jackstands or something like that...

Really? I was thinking just some old paint cans or these old blocks of firewood I have laying around. Just kidding
I realize it is a stupid sounding question, but when you rotate tires you go to the opposite corner. Do I have to just throw 4 jack stands underneath and go to town or do one stand on each corner and do those 2 and then switch it up and do the other 2? I have one set of jack stands.

Re: Anyone know of a good paint for hubs?
I dont think i have rotated my tires like that for at least 10 years.
I just go front to back on the same side. as long as you dont have alignment or funky tire wear issues, i dont think you need to go to the opposite side.
either way i dont see any issues using just two stands.
