I'll admit right off the top that I haven't looked at every post in every thread on this board, but I have looked at a lot, BUT, I have yet to see any reference to the U.S. L300 variant, dubbed the Vanwagon (in keeping with the Toyota Vanwagon, aka Townace).
It was an inline 2.4L 4 cyl. petrol engine, and sported 5mph bumpers front and rear, as well as the twin rectangular headlights of yore. Not sure if the 4wd was available or not (don't think so). I know I've seen them on the road in the states in the past, but they weren't common at all.
Anyone know about parts compatiblility between it and our asian Delis? Glass? Brake parts/pads?
Just curious...

North American (US) L300: Mitsubishi Vanwagon
The world is my oyster; tasty, yet often full of sand.
Re: North American (US) L300: Mitsubishi Vanwagon
They are identical but I have yet to try and order drivetrain parts from one though. For any non-drivetrain based items I call Mitsubishi in the U.S. and get the part #'s then call Mitsubishi here and order the parts. I was going to buy one and use the parts to make my Deli LHD and have dual sliding doors since they are so cheap down there but I lost interest after I got used to RHD.
