AVOID Chevron car wash @ MacDonald/4th in Vancouver/Kits

Post by tonydca »

Automated car washes are never the best choice, I know. But they have their time and place. And my L400 with its little plastic bits, parking pole and ladder fits nicely through the touchless kind without worrying about getting things torn off.

This evening I ran through this particular one only to find that the wheel/undercarriage cleaner was broken, and the soap nozzle/dispensers were clogged and/or out of chemicals.

After leaving, I find the guy who went thru the wash ahead of me also stopped and complaining to the manager, who just stands there with arms crossed refusing to examine the carwash unit to see it is broken nor to offer a refund or any other kind of restitution to either of us other than to run it through again (???).

The carwash was busy as heck, and he obviously didn't want to shut it down for any reason; probably more profitable to just stonewall the complainers. This is the second time I've had issues here, and talking to the manager is like getting blood from a turnip.

So First World Problem, I know, but still - take your business elsewhere. The various coin-op U-washes in Burnaby and Richmond are a much better bet.
