Bike Rack for L300

Post by delidogs »

Hi,
This is such a great forum! We are deli owners for the first time and it's been great to discover this forum and the deli community on here :-) .
We have a L300 high roof and want to get a bike rack for it... wondering what folks would recommend?
Thanks!

Hi Delidogs, welcome to Delica Canada :M

There have been a few threads on this topic worth researching. Enter <Bike Rack> into the search engine at the top of this page and see if that answers any questions for you as a start... smiles. Good to have you with us.

I bought one similar to this used from Kijiji, works just fine on the Deli

Only issue we experienced was that you can't get in the back if the bikes are on, but that's a given... Either we'd go in the side or remove the bikes (which is quick and easy) if we had to open the hatch

Do you want the best rack or a cheap rack? I bought a North Shore Rack and it hold 4 bikes, allows the hatch to open, is very easy to load and unload, holds any type of bike but cost close to $600.

The north shore rack is a great rack, I own one my self and use it all the time but, if you are going to spend the money i recommend looking at the Rat rack a company out of Calgary making an even better rack (easier to use with all types of bikes ie kids and road). To do it a bit cheaper you can sometimes find a used rack on on the pinkbike.com classifieds.

i got a decent one for $40 from craigs list. it was hard to find one that fit cuz i got a rear tire carrier. i got one that bolts to the tongue where a tow ball would go. if youre considering a trailer hitch in the near future....
