Hi All,
As the subject indicates, this is a total noob question, but I can't figure out how to put my L400 into 4-low. I had it at a full stop and in neutral, with it in 4Hlc, but couldn't get the lever to move in any direction. How do you move the lever to put it in 4-low?
Thanks,
Colin

Re: Noob question about 4-Low
From 4-Hi, and if you are in Neutral, push forward on the lever with an ever so slight rightward lean, but it is mostly forward, and a long way forward at that.

Re: Noob question about 4-Low
I tried again today, but I still can't get the van into 4 low. I get it into 4hlc, but the lever won't budge past that I have it in neutral when trying. There's no line connecting 4hlc with 4llc on the shifter knob, so i'm actually wondering if it has 4 low at all. Do all Delicas have 4 low?
Thanks,
Colin

Push down on the shift lever, then to the right and forward.

Oh, yes! tonydca is correct, you need to push down on the top of the stick to shift as well. I totally forgot that. I always push down on the top now out of habit. I actually need to engage 4X4 very often as my driveway has a 20% grade in one spot.

Re: Noob question about 4-Low
Thanks everyone! Took it out on a logging road today and gave it a whirl, popped right into 4-low!
