Re: roof top tent and awning
My wife and I are looking for a rooftop tent. But we want something small and simple.
Do you sell anything like these?...

Thank you!

Hi there, sorry I don't have any hardtop for sale right now. RTT is very simple to setup and doesn't take the whole roof space of your truck. you still have room left to load all other stuff on your roof rack. Re: roof top tent and awning
TardisDeli just bought the fold-out Awning, with the Awning Room that attaches to the Awning. We Love IT!
Very Very impressed with the super good quality fabric and finish, and all the little things are included (the right size screws with nylock nuts, the right size bits of string and adjusters, hold down pegs, etc etc). The entire assembly system is so well thought out, no gimmicks just well planned and easy to use. The awning is similar to an arb awning.
The floor of the awning room zips on all 4 sides to the walls, and the windows have bug mesh in, so the the entire set up is rain proof and bug proof.
The opening fits the delica sliding door nicely, and we have some rare earth magnets to hold the fabric against the sliding door area to keep bugs out.
We have the awning attached fulltime to my new L300 delica (the awing comes with the screws and an easily adjustable track that fits your own roof rack legs). And the room comes with a good bag, which fits neatly into the deli.
Anyone wanting to try it out, just visit our backyard.
We didnt get the rooftent, so can't tell you how much weight it takes, but they are made of the same sturdy waterproofed fabrics as ours.
Cheers, Jay and Christine.

What's with teh strings/ropes that runs across the inside of the tent. In this pic it looks like there is one that would be right above your head.

Re: roof top tent and awning
Those "strings" are probably bungie, and they are used to tension the sides of the tent while it is being folded down. Once opened up, the bungies are detached until needed.psilosin wrote:

At least, that's how my Eezi-Awn roof top tent works.

Re: roof top tent and awning
that's great Andy. i'm from ontario and saw your kijiji adds here and it's been posted on my toyota forum locally. heard some great things about your awning from Tardisdeli/christine.
not sure what your market has been like in southern ontario, but i'd like to be one of the first ones... and spread the word.
is there any chance you can post pics of more detailed pieces of the tent? like hinges, hardware, poles, zippers, fabric, etc..? if it's not too much to ask. it would be a blind sale for me all the way from the toronto area.
is shipping insured, say it was damaged when it got here?
how long does it take to setup?
