Heavy equipment towing

Post by sasquatch-hunter »

Since the L400 is doubling up at a farm truck, here is how it look when towing a post pounder. I highly not recommended and I will not do that again. The rear sunk right to the bump stop. Probably I will need some air bags or Monroe coil overloader shocks soon.

 That's some serious tongue weight!!! Dunno why they couldn't have balanced that better for towing. I have a mini excavator from Princess Auto that is beautifully balanced and a breeze to tow... even use my quad to tow it around my property. At least if you're on the bump stops you know the rear end won't go down any further unless you blow a tire... :?

wow, I would not want to tow that with any vehicle. that looks like a very poorly designed and built trailer.

got any better pictures of it? how much does the trailer weigh with the pounder on it?
Cheers,
Reza

There was a guy towed the same unit with a Suzuki Samurai in low range all the way! When the post pound weight came down onto the post, the front end of the Samurai bounded up about three feet!
