For ~$130 less than an OEM relay you can get this 100A off eBay or similar. Approx 4cm x 4cm x 4cm. Installs in original relay location easily, one original bolt to secure, use original second bolt as the relay ground location. Been working nicely for me over the last month and I bought an extra one to keep on hand just in case...still $100 ahead of the game.

Re: L400 glow plug relay
I stopped the Parts Source store (a division of Canadian Tire store) and checked to see if they had a relay that would work for me. The clerk grabbed a catalogue and searched for relays. He came across a page that said glowplug relays and on the bottom of the page was my exact relay. It has the small Mitsubishi symbols on it and everything. It is a Borg Warner part # SS666, there may have been 3 letter S. MSRP was $73. He sold it to me for less. It had to come from Toronto but there was no shipping charge.
As a side note I did remove my and refurbed it. Got me going until I get around to replacing it. Thanks for the link.

I was quoted a price of $170 plus shipping for one, from a company that is on this site.

Re: L400 glow plug relay
you guys know that its just a basic relay with a high amperage rating. you can replace it with a simple winch solenoid that costs probably 10 bucks from lordco.

See my post above. $20-40 depending on where you get. Also mounts easier than a couple of the other usual suspects from Lordco and etc.rezdiver wrote:you guys know that its just a basic relay with a high amperage rating. you can replace it with a simple winch solenoid that costs probably 10 bucks from lordco.

Re: L400 glow plug relay
What size are the electrical connections on that relay? I may need a new one and I really dont want to spend 170$ on a relay when I can get one for 20$. Trying to figure out exactly what I need. A 12V/100A relay with what size connections?
Thanks!
Thanks!
