Lovely picture - what do the words say, in English please?

Thank you for continuing to support the JDM scene in BC, and beyond. Many best wishes in the new year.

Shucks, Mararmeisto ~ that's an easy one! It means "happy new year". You can tell by the amount of skinny lines as opposed to the fatter lines, eh?

Google Translate gives 'happy new year' in Chinese as: 新年好

And since I don't know how to romanise Chinese characters with my keyboard, I can't type in what I see in the image.

Well, I just double checked with Nicki at the Noodle House ~ it means happy new year, so does the one you just posted. Not sure why it's written two ways.

謹賀新年 ( keun ha shin nyun )_ This idiom is only used in Korea and Japan to celebrate new year.
It can be translated into Engligh as “Happy New Year”, but it has more meaning than itself".

It includes “ achieving your desire in new year, making a good fortune, be healthy and prosperous in your family.

In China, these idioms are widely used in the Chinese New Year.
万事如意 (wan shi ru yi)
恭喜發財 (gong xi fa cai)
年年有餘 (nian nian you yu)
恭賀新禧 (gong he xin xi)
歲歲平安 (shui shui ping an)
新年快樂 (xin nian kuai le)

FYI, this coming 2013 is the year of snake.
