Del-EEka
*Cringe* absolutely not!
DEL-ikka
I think that's about it...
Deli-(pronounced like in "Delivery") Ca (pronounced like in "Car")
This is the way I think of it, but I realize now that the "del" part of "delivery" comes out closer to "dull" usually in pronunciation, and that is anything but the case for these vehicles...
Dell-ika is my best description of how I pronounce it. (which I think is your second option)

As my wife put it, "doesn't DEL-ikka sound kind of like DEL-icate?" (Which as video proof suggests, is not the case...)

Just to add to the confusion, there is an Australian L400 review on YouTube where they call it dell-ee-ka, rhyming with Celica.

I say DELL-i-ca. The Japanese I've heard (YouTube again, plus Japanoid staff) sounds like deh-rih-ka. There's a D:5 ad http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vFU8_Qh9EE if you want to see the current version in action.

I've always said del-ee-ca (rhymes with Celica), just as Laura describes fro the Aussie site. I only started to hear del-i-ca (rhymes with delicate) after we started talking to the Brits (remember Bruce???) and they try to pronounce everything as complicated as they possibly can (aluminum, tomato, etc, etc, etc). Maybe we should check with Demi Moore as she can't pronounce her name either (D-mi??????)

I'm sticking with calling it a Deli!!!
Cheers!!

So the debate is still on how you pronounce "Celica" I believe Toyota sports car owners ask themselves this same important question...
