Front and rear bullbar / brush guard options???
Hello you Canadians... I am having some trouble finding parts online for my Delica and since CVI is across the boarder from me it makes it somewhat difficult to find the stuff I want. Any websites that have aftermarket parts?
I am looking for a beefier bull bar or front push bar like the one in some of the youtube videos like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVBHTRMjNs8
I would ideally like this guys whole set up for bars, im trying to make mine into a hamster ball for the zombie apocalypse. Any direction or websites for parts is much appreciated. BTW I have a 1989 Delica L300 and it IS state side, fully registered and insured.. so giddy up nay sayers!

Re: Front and rear bullbar / brush guard options???
For a rear swing away tire carrier, i believe that someone on here modded up a trailgear tube bumper for a jeep wrangler. the brackets had to be extended into the unibody etc, but after all was said and done it looked slick. The vast majority of parts like armor will be pretty much impossible to find for your van. all of the stuff is custom jobs. So with enough thinking and backyard engineering, you can come up with pretty much anything. As far as the front end, you are going to have to extend where the OEM bumper connects to whatever else you are trying to bolt on.
Hope this helps!

Re: Front and rear bullbar / brush guard options???
Hi, Im one of the guys that did the rear swing tire carrier mod, I did consider doing the same for the front, as a rock crawler front bumper is readily available as well. The "mod" is actually considerably easier for the front as the frame rail is more accessable to mount.(existing tabs are there) I decided against it as I felt I had enough wind drag, but mostly because the weight over the front is too biased already. An L300 can benefit from added rear weight, but definately NOT the front. The approach angle is also an issue on the L300, so if I were to do it I would certainly go compact. Just my 2c.sub-arctic wrote:For a rear swing away tire carrier, i believe that someone on here modded up a trailgear tube bumper for a jeep wrangler. the brackets had to be extended into the unibody etc, but after all was said and done it looked slick. Such information is secretly stored in the words of the thread. Hold the thread over an open flame to reveal its cunning secrets:

Simply adapt to the stock Bushbar mounting tabs..
