Re: service and repair shops in Van?
I've had some work done by RJD Services in North Van, and they seemed pretty comfortable around the delica. I created a list on the wiki, but only RJD is listed there so far: http://wikrad.com/delica/index.cgi?local_repair_shops

Re: service and repair shops in Van?
I actually bought my Delica from Maximum Overdrive..92 Chamonix.. which i thought and still think is in top shape.. they have tried really hard to make sure I'm happy and that my Delica and that it is running well.. which it is.. But i did alot of work to mine already.. mostly preventative. through them. And i couldnt be happier.. And i got a warranty aswell.. for 1 year.. because really if anything is going to go because of age im sure it will happen soon..dbaba wrote:maximum overdrive auto importers in Richmond. i don't know about Vancouver through
Next on my list will be a turbo rebuild and get my alternator rewound.
for Delica servicing i would make the short trip out to Richmond after rush hour :)

MardyDelica on this site can take care of your Delica in Richmond as well, he's received lots of compliments on the quality of his work. As you see there's more and more quality shops for Delica, very nice!
Good luck

I've discussed service with my usual garage, Adria Imports at Broadway and Fraser. They look after several Delicas, as well as a couple of Pajeros. Haven't needed them yet...

I will second that for Richard and Nathan at RJD. A good place for Deli service, I know they do quite a few of them. Honest guys in my experience. Just over the second narrows.

A big thank you to everyone who has offered input with regards to the question of recommended service shops in and around Vancouver. Cheers.

I had my fuel injection pump replaced by Josef at "Josef Auto Mechanic" at D-2830 Douglas Road in Burnaby. His number is 604 294 2783.
He's a personable guy and works fast. He offers a year warranty on his work.

Maxoverdrive and mardydelica use the same shop for servicing. i would like to know more input about shops in vancouver and burnaby area. it is always good to know other places as the place in richmond takes a long time to do the job. same thing happned with Ateb in burnaby, when outback started sending all their work to ateb, they go pricier and longer wait for work to be finsihed.

Hi, actually they charge reasonably compare to other shop, the main thing is that this people do know how to fix this delica engine & trouble shooting to your delica. they are more experience than other shop around lower mainland,
they do work this type of engine in the phils for long time.they are the one of the top by overhauling the engine in the phils for mitsubishi.
in fact the owner a friend of mind until now have own family shop & diesel injection shop in the phil.
the reason they cannot do quick, is that they are so busy to my delica & other customer, they have only one mechanic.
so you do hope to understand that. they want to do faster but streamly busy sometime.
but you can have there confident as they know very well to fix this type of vehicle. as they got lots of this delica in the phils.
so we just have to be patient cannot do everything quick.
important thing is that they wont let you down when it come to fixing the engine problem of your delica.
cheers:

Just have to plug the guys at:
Adria Import Car Service
794 Broadway East
Vancouver, BC V5T 1X9
Mark was fantastic at solving/fixing a frustrating electrical problem. It turned out to be a melted wire connector deep behind the batteries. Thanks Mark!

Re: service and repair shops in Van?
Depends what you need done. Various places, some specialized.
Come to a local meet (better yet, post a meet yourself, just pick a date and time and place, and they will come). Then ask people in person, so you know how biased the info is.
Below are those I have dealt with, and all are very helpful and knowledgeable on delicas, and as you will see on the various postings on this frequent question all are recommended by many owners:
Butch and Edwin at CVI Automotive in Richmond are often praised on this site. They do fuel pump rebuild and specialize in sonic cleaning of glowplugs, and do all mechanical.
For Alignment, torsion bars, suspension, West Coast Alignment on Powell at Victoria Street, Vancouver.
For best selection of new parts, John Hamilton of Rocky Mountain Imports dot net. User ID online here is RMI. Ships via Greyhound.
For used parts and pieces, and full mechanical and Everything, do the ferry to the island to Glen at Coombs County Auto (online ID here ccautos).
Mardy Delica is a Richmond dealer, and parts provider, and service enabler, very helpful.
Japanoid in New Westminster is large dealer, full service shop.
Apologies to those I have overlooked, this is just a quick reply.
Just don't go to places that aren't delica specialists. Very basic sturdy machines but you don't want to pay someone to learn where things go.
Christine.

Re: service and repair shops in Van?
I know this is an old thread, but where are people going in vancouver proper to get oil changes? i don't really want to go to richmond to get an oil change. Somewhere off Kingsway or Clark would be ideal for me.
Any input would be helpful. Thanks!
