Universal Rad Hose

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Universal Rad Hose

Post by rainypotato »

There are no rad hoses for MB here, I feel a panic to replace mine...suddenly. There are some universal pieces (it seems like ordering for the L300 could turn up with the wrong size, considering where I am and how long it takes for things to get here, and expensive shipping, I am going to try universal) here at Napa that may work.

It seems tricky to measure the ID of both sides of these hoses without having to drain fluid and all that???

It would be super dandy if someone out there had the measurements, so I could see if this Napa has anything that will work for the short term...

When I come to Vancouver next month, I'll be able to get the real thing somewhere, I hope.

Anybody have the measurements handy (I have searched a load on the forum, and weeded through manuals as best as I can)

thanks

Any of the local vendors could ship you a set for less than 75.00. (Amazing Auto for one) If you just need the lower I have an extra (new) I would sell you for 30.00. Shipping would be on you.

Thanks for the info/offer

These days with storms and ferry delays and such, shipping is too much of a pain. I will likely be in Vancouver before anything would arrive here (we do not have airmail, we live on an island far from the mainland...) I need something pronto, to slap on for said vancouver journey, so...

I'm looking for dimensions because if this one, small Napa does not have the right size then no trouble for now, i can pick one up en route...but dimensions are key...

Just checking to see if anyone has this handy???

The lower hose measures 35mm ID at both ends. (or roughly 1 3/8") Hope this helps :-D

Gates p/n: top hose 21701; lower 21201. Should be able to get that through Napa or cross to something else.

Good luck
