I managed to upack the 2 axles that I bought earlier this week from inside the van. They used a forklift to load them so it was a bit epic to unload solo. Nonetheless, a great learning experience.

Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?
Finished performing surgery on my broken parking pole. I think it was a success. Minimal swearing. I got to use plasti dip for the first time today. Used it to seal up the bottom of the pole (water kept filling it and corroding the screws I have holding it together). Very cool stuff. I would have to say I like the spray better for ease but the dip will come in handy on the feet for my roof rack this summer. I also bought a can of white which I am thinking of using on the van hood for a rock guard/bra. Won't be an exact match colour wise but if it helps stop some of the chipping I will be OK with it.

Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?
Had a Deli-heavy weekend, despite not being 100%, and going to bed at 8 on Friday and Sunday nights.
Finished welding up the hitch, though I neglected to take pictures. I DID however take some pics of the snorkle install. Having done Bonsai's a couple of weeks ago, it went pretty smooth.
Started with the template we modified, and drilled right through the intake in the fender:

Next I did the holes for the mount bolts, then took the fender right off. This made it WAY easier to get the snorkle onto the fender, and let me paint/rustproof over everything.

Installation is the opposite of removal. I got called in to dinner at this point (it IS family day after all), and am on my way back out to button it up.

I was hunting all over the forum for this post - finally found it! :)CREGAN wrote:Made myself a cabin air filter. Remember reading here a while ago about them being non existant and got tired of the used dryer sheet I had been using always falling out when I popped the hood so I came up with a little invention. I purchased some new charcoal prefilters for our bedroom air purifier from London Drugs and realized they would work great to replace said dryer sheet. $15 (enough in the box to probably make 4 or 5) and 4 of my wifes bobbie pins to hold it in place. Works well.

I went out to the garage with the goal of installing my 4-in-1 EGT, but instead got distracted by my quest to "unRoyal" my exceed.

First, I busted my passenger side mirror while backing through a gate - Boo
Then I called around and found one at CCA. The LAST one at CCA...
So I can back my trailer up safely again. Pretty grim without that nice curved mirror out there.
Hope I don't break this one...
