Re: Westfelica
Super job!!
I've had 6 Westfalias and now I'm on my first L300 Super Exceed.
Are those roof racks easy to purchase?? I want to put a tent on top of my Deli too. Getting the tent seems easy enough. But I'm not so sure about the racks and ladder...
Can you tell me about the racks you have?
Cheers

Re: Westfelica
You can get the racks at any accessory shop, just ask for high lift legs. Prepare for sticker shock. I wasn't prepared and so bought my racks from the UK for about $160. The finish quality is subpar, but it's just a roof rack. If rack appearance is important, be prepared to spend about $400 for Thule. The tents come with a ladder, but I want to keep my eyes open for a used built in luggage ladder for the back of the van.
My new novel A Dark and Promised Land has just been released by Dundurn Press. "On the eve of war he is compelled to reclaim her love, setting himself against his people amid a conflict that will form a nation." http://www.darkpromisedland.com/

Re: Westfelica
Thanks man. I don't mind spending for quality. And I know Thule is pretty good stuff.
I'd love to get one of those Terzo ladders for the back of mine too. But it would appear winning the lottery might be easier.
Good luck and thanks for the info. I'm gonna see if I can get started and score a set of racks tomorrow...then the tent... Then....
