WANTED L300 Delica Super Exceed original Radio Cassette
Trying to track down an original radio cassette unit from a Super Exceed that pairs with the Audio Stage. Part number is MB434168 and should have 4 plugs at rear plus the antenna.
Hope someone can help. Thanks.
Chris
P.S. I know I'm in the UK but happy to pay the shipping if you have a good one. Thanks again :)

Because the frequency range and separations are all wrong on these decks for North America, we tend to change them out soonest and don't keep them. Might be better to try asking one of the mechanics if they've got one in a parts van. Try CCAutos.

Yeah same problem here including mine has had the original swapped out for a ***ty Cd player. Really want to get one back in as I have special plans for the install. Hoping someone even if they have swapped out will have one gathering dust somewhere.mararmeisto wrote:Because the frequency range and separations are all wrong on these decks for North America, we tend to change them out soonest and don't keep them. If there is any possibility that one in an Exceed will have the proper plugs, I'll pull it out for you, should I check, or do you know for sure it has to be from a super exceed. Actually I have one in a 93 exceed, and one in a 94 limited. Let me know if it's worth checking either of them for you.

Hi Jason , pretty sure it needs to be a Super Exceed unless already fitted with the Audio Stage. But I'm almost certain only the Super Exceed came with the Audio Stage set up in the L300.
The head units in bothe the Exceed and the Super are made by National Panasonic and have National on the top left hand front of the facia. The part numbers and amount of plugs at the rear differ though.
The Exceed part no. is MB434167 and the Super Exceed is MB434168 and has an extra round din plug at the rear compared to only 1 power, 1 speaker block and an antenna plug on the Exceeds unit.

Ok, I'll still give it a check, I just wont rush out to shovel a path through the snow, I'll maybe wait for some help from nature. But I'll pull them and let you know. I'll also keep my eyes open in the mean time.

The version you want will be in the L300's that have the karaoke machine in the rear passenger area. Maybe add that to your first paragraph as easier for owners to figure out if theirs might be it.
Dont know if L400's had the karaoke option?
We checked our old radios in case (as Jay helps people wire in their new stereos), but none have that part number, nor 4 connectors.
If anyone does find one for you, Jay could test it to ensure works ok.
Christine.

I believe they did, as I seem to remember someone having it working at one of our meets. I doubt they'd be interchangeable though.TardisDeli wrote:Dont know if L400's had the karaoke option?
