I was contacted by a guy called Paul a few weeks back after he bought one of my expansion tanks, he told me he was travelling to the UK from Australia and will be embarking on a 3 month journey to South Africa. They will be making the trip in a Series 2 Chamonix Delica and a Toyota Land Cruiser, the reason for their trip is to film a TV documentary on inspiring development in rural Africa, as an alternative to Western Aid.
The documentary is going to be aired on television, channel yet to be confirmed until post production editing. It will likely run in both the UK and Australia. It will also be a web documentary, as well as you tube video, etc! They will also be entering it into numerous film festivals, such as ontario film festival, New York film festival, etc.
He offered me the oportunity to join their growing list of sponsors, and asked if I would like to donate parts for their Delica, to which I agreed. I will be supplying them with a 32mm all aluminium construction radiator, aluminium induction pipes, stainless steel dual battery tray and stainless steel bash plate, along with the expansion tank already purchased. Not only will this be a good oportunity for me to see my products put through thier paces, something that a few of our friends in Australia have already been doing, but hopefully it will give people peace of mind that the parts I make are upto the job and how the Deli copes with the trip, and finally its all for a good cause.
Take a look at their site, im sure they will welcome any support given.
