Painted side steps and bull bar black, and used mothers "Back to Black" on my front shroud.

The black looks sharp!
I was getting my l300 ready to sell
Replaced fog lights, removed the bypass filter to put on the l400. Oil change and put all the carpets in.

I was a klutz all day.

I wasted a bunch of time trying to de-chrome the rims with EZ Off oven cleaner.
Dont believe the hype, it doesnt seem to work as well as youtube leads you to believe.

Now what? 1/2 chrome rims look... gross.

Please dont point and laugh when you see me driving by,
I feel annoyed enough as it is.

At least you tried...I gave up 3 years ago and am just going to live with absolutely horrible looking rims!

If you can't stand the look, just sand blast them. Or, sandpaper and paint (I did this and the result was fantastic).

Right so today I finally tested out my adjustable steering column and steering wheel, you can see it here, sorry for the sun, cameras in the UK arent used to it:

You can see the difference as compared to the indicator stalk, its 14.5" wheel as compared to the standard 15.5", the lowest position is about 1" higher than normal, and has an extra 35mm to play with.

For driving, its made a huge difference. I've had my L300 for about 6 years now, and the position has always bugged me a bit, I'm a 10 and 2 driver and about 5'11", so the original steering wheel has always been a compromise, seat too close, cramped legs, too far, cant reach the top of the wheel easily, adjust the seat back, too cramped, etc. I still have to refine it, but now the Delica genuinely fits me. 10 and 2, seat comfy, elbows just about at 90 degrees. Loving it.

I put on a smaller steering wheel for that reason (and cause it looks cool), but didn't go with the adjustable one because it extend up and I didn't want it any higher than it already is. Glad to hear it's working out for you though. I still drive with the seat as far back as it goes, legs could be extended more, but my hand just barely reaches the wheel.

With the help of Jay, took care of some electrical projects. We rewired my DRL's, Pyrometer, Boost and Oil pressure. Now everything works like it should. The best project tackled was the rewiring of the center roof panel lights. It turned out so awesome. Big thanks to Jay for all his help.

p.s. Also added some 48 smd Led lights to front and rear ceiling lights.

Yesterday did the undercoating for my L400. Took about 3 hours total with a hoist. Without it, no way. Looks really good. The frame started to show minor rust spots. Cleaned those babies off with a brush and apply the coat generously. 25 years guaranteed... Looks amazing. Was sweating so much (as i had minimal time on the hoist). Had no time to take pictures. Will try to take later pictures. Used only 2 litters out of the 4 i bought.

On a fun note, put up stock random stickers i've wanted to do.

Installed my previously loved Skid plate. Nice to have something protecting the gaping hole in the front.

Pretty. I think it makes them look meaner- like an angry soccer mom would drive it 8-) . I added a custom decal to it as well, just to fill the space in between the vents. Diggin the new muffler too. Are you driving the van out this way this summer?

Finally got around doing my EGT blanking plate. Boom.
Bought it 8 months ago.
Got some gasket left over if anyone needs/wants it.

Now let's test the fuel milage.

That's an ideal spot for a sticker but we have to have a front plate out in BC. I just took it off for privacy reasons. I should be out that way in June...but who knows maybe even sooner. All the work is out your way...at least for my trade anyways. :-)

I painted my rack / bars from shiny silver to black. My wife felt they looked too geeky :)
