L400 fuel tank
Noticed a small stain on the pavement under my 96 Super Exceed. The fuel tank has a small leak. I haven't pulled the bash guard off yet to have a closer look but assume the leak is caused by corrosion and plan on replacing the tank with a new one. Any suggestions about where to buy one? Is it worth it to buy used?

Re: L400 fuel tank
I just had mine replaced because of a small hole in the top of the tank. There is an indentation or baffle on the top where dirt and water can get trapped. The hole was just a pinhole one. I priced out a new tank at $950 from Rocky Mountain Imports and used tanks from Rising Sun and Amazing Auto for in the $200-$300 range.

Just noticed a small patch of diesel under my 95 L400. I suspect I have a leaking fuel tank that needs replacement. Has anyone dealt with this recently? Thanks in advance.

Re: L400 fuel tank
There are epoxy kits for fuel tank repairs. I have used the one that is made of a 2 part resin and fiber glass mat. Works great when getting a new tank is not possible or will take weeks to get.
most radiator shops are able to fix fuel tanks as well but call around for times/prices.

Thanks for the info Bird Big. FYI ... as it turned out, my issue was due to a loose tank drain plug. Just had to tighten it up I guess.
