New Delica owner in Edmonton

Hello fellow Delica enthusiasts. I'm anticipating the arrival of my 97 Delica L400 Spacegear at the end of May. I have been gleaning lot's of information from all your posts which have been invaluable in my selection process. I ended up bidding and winning on a Super Exceed V6 gasser. I can't wait to see it in real life as I've only seen the L300's, which started my quest for these awesome people movers in the first place, but the pragmatic side of my brain had me choose the L400. Looking forward to meeting up with the Edmonton area Delica owners and others I will find on my travels.

I'm certainly willing to spearhead a meet up once my Delica is in my hands, hopefully by then we won't have to deal with blowing snow... Or perhaps in the Lee of a big building if June doesn't bring temperate weather.

I'm picking mine up in Calgary fro Sean at Zen Autoworks the weekend of June 1st&2nd. I have not decided how I'm getting down there. If yours is ready by then perhaps we could make a plan of some sort.

That sounds like a great Idea, I still have to confirm with Zen Auto works that the Van will be ready to roll by that first weekend in June. Soon as that is confirmed I can post a "Group Meet thread" and see who would be interested.

I did pick it up this past weekend I am so stoked! This Van is beyond my expectations. Sean was great to work with. I had the alternator belt replaced, only thing the mechanic recomended as he said the machine was tight. The belt was slipping a little so Sean tightened it up before heading back to Edmonton. So let me know when you have your Delica in your hands and we can plan a meet.

Hi, just picked mine up this Saturday. It's pretty sweet and have to learn all the bells and whistles of this thing.
I should check out your CD/radio mods. I can't get many stations with the radio currently in there, not a big problem but it did make for a boring drive up from Calgary with just road noise and my thoughts.
