looking for lift kit

Now that I wasted $780 bucks on BFG A/Ts (30'')I want a lift and 31''M/Ts I thought at the time (a month ago) this was the practical choice,saying to myself I wont be diong much in my Deli as fare as wheeling goes,but the charm is wearing off for the urban Deli and I like to play,so where do I get a lift and whats it been running you folks who havem id like to install my self what the perfered waythat wont empty my already empty wallet. Tosions cranked up allready

I just received my used lift kit. I will be taking measurements of all the parts and seeing what it would cost to fabricate over the next few days, and then on with the install. I will keep you posted as to progress.

Why "wasted"? Didn't like the tires or just the size?

Thanks keep me posted for sure,I love the tiers jjust that this is my toy sort of thing,i like the looks and ride of any lifted vehic,not that I wasted the money just should have though it threw a little more with them ,Iwas trying to be practical but i also like change,like I said its my toy and im wanting to start it as a project in progerss,never had a vehicle that i liked as much as my van and i kinda want to see it they way i really want to,sounds a little strange but ''hey its the only materialistic thing that i have a thing for.

keep in mind, you might need wider rims to take those bigger tires, depending on what's on it now.

hello,new delica owner here. I have built and installed 2 lift kits already. mine has 31' tires with alot of clearence,no rubbing,no diving . 2' rear and 3' to 4' front lift.put on the 31's , I can slide underneath, on a creeper easily. slightly nose high looks very aggresive.back is raised w/ shackles, 4' over stock length, 2' in lift gained.my new shocks are not in yet,so Ibuilt shock extensions for the stockers ( could be a lo cost alternative to expensive new shocks).On the front have new pro-comps. made ball joint spacers, re-indexed torsion bars and adjusted, and modified bump stops. (still had to modify seam in inner fender well and remove steps).the nose is no longer so low,making me feel better about the skyline intercooler that is going up there.if there is enough interest i might be convinced to build more lifts.just came in from the shed, having milled 2 sets of balljoint spacers tonight. creers.DELICAS RULE.

I was just lookin at deli's on google and i got a to a link with some guys talkin about "opening shackles", they said there usualy used on jeeps and smaller things, but they said it would probably work on a deli casue one guy had them on a land rover.any one heard of these?There called "teraflex revolvers"

Thats one Crazy Cb 750 you got there GaryO. Many thanks for the ass kicking lift kit in my Van. Now if any of you are seroius about a better riding, better standing Delica come and check ours out any day of the week at 858 Powell Street (in the starbucks building).

Off the bat, there is about 4-5 hours of install work, a load of tools, 5-6 hours of fabrications work, a 100 bucks of materials and $130 bucks of Alignment.

For you to get your truck lifted by us it will be around a Grand.

This weekend the Van that can was put through the ruts and rivers of Stave, and it did not hit the ground once, even with thte stocker size wheels. Milage has been the same.
How many Ks are you guys getting to a full tanks. My Van pulls between 550-590 from right full to the reserve light.

That sounds right, mine just got 509km to low fuel light on a 66.7L fill which is pretty terrible, but it's been cold, and I drive short trips on hills an awful lot. Highest I've recorded is 583km in september.

Do your lifts have alot to them, I understood that you can just put two blocks with U bolts above the back leafs and it only cost like $300? Then just crank the torsion bars?

hi patty. you are absolutely right, but i just don't feel comfortable about blocks. i've had bad experiences with the diff housings rolling under accel and decel. this would throw the driveshaft angles out of whack. mind you, these were big lifts, and lots of horsepower.the longer shackles drops the back of the spring down,tilting the pinion up.i measured the driveline angles both ways (blocks vs shackles) and i liked the way the u-joint angles cancelled better with shackles. on the front, i wanted a slightly nose high attitude.re-indexing the torsion bars,and cranking the adjusters untill they hit the body,still didn't give me the height i wanted. and the ride was bloody awfull.the solution was to machine a spacer to go beetween the upper ball joint and the upper suspension arm, longer mounting bolts and replacing the grease fitting. now the torsion bars are not maxed out,making the ride much more enjoyable.
