I'm not much of a 4wheelin guy... just looking for a place in a relatively easy off-road location where I could bring my family for a picnic this fall. With all the offroading everyone does on here, I'm hoping for some good ideas! My Delica is a stock 400 and I'd prefer not to get stuck out there ;)
Any ideas are appreciated!

Re: Calgary Day Trip
There are a few trails in the Waiparous Valley west of Cochrane and North on HWY 40.
If its been raining a few days prior it will be muddy and several trails have mudholes most of the year that can grab a 4x4 very easily...simple recovery gear or another vehicle on the trail is recommended.
Lost Knife is a good route...look up the map online Waiparous Valley Trails.....Usually maintained by the local 4x4 group and Alberta's Sustainable Resource Development group.
