And the club sticker nicely visible on the front windscreen, too!

BTW, I'd love to get one of those... I inquired in another thread, but no response.

NICE ONE KEV!!

That's the spirit! If I was nearer I would have you installing one on the Mud Monkey for sure (and also converting part of my garage to process WVO as well)

Nice to see the car/club/members etc making the press.

When I flew back from BC last April, I left Mark (Admin) with a handful of the stickers. PM him and see if he still has any? If not, let me know and I'll get another batch made up and send them over.....

Thank you, Jeremy's is a good writer. I was asked over a year ago for a story, but declined cause I was in the service industry working in 10 - 20 houses a day in a small community. Heck, bet it added a hour to each work day answering questions about the Delica cable van.

My questions is how come Jason reads the Powell River peak? Are you an ex-Powell Riverite?

Bruce, if you move to this side of the pond your WVO install would be very well attended. Myself included.

Cheers,
Kev

I received this letter last night in response to that article, sure sounds very interesting. Would be awesome for Canada to get new diesel technology out there!
Hi
My name is Ivy Courtney and I am currently a co-op student working for Natural Resources Canada when I came across an article on Google about you converting Diesel Engines into Veggie Oil Engines. Currently I am working on a project to make diesel engines out of Aluminum and found this article very interesting and was wondering if you could provide me with some more information. I am currently studying Metal Casting but I have studied chemistry in the past and both my parents are chemists.

When changing the engine, what exactly needs to change in the engine so it can run off the Veggie Oil? Does it require the use of spark plugs to ignite and actual oil or does the engine actually just combine the diesel fuel with the oil allowing it to still combust under high pressure? And if it still can combust under the high pressure do you happen to know if this creates a higher temperature or lower temperature? (that I don't expect you to know and I can look it up if need be but I figured I might as well ask) And lastly have you noticed that there is some change between the oil some days, or for the most part does it actual run at a fairly constant rate?

Any other information that you can provide me with would be much appreciated, my team is hopeful that by creating lighter diesel engines that it will become something much more popular in Canada and the United States and allow the auto industry to bring the European diesels over to the North American Article.

Thank you for your time,

Ivy Courtney

Hey Kev,

Yep born and raised in the Riviera. I met you on the ferry few months back.

Next time I'm in town we should do some exploring.

Glad you reminded me, I hadn't put a face (or a Delica) to the name!

Sounds like a plan about doing some exploring! Maybe a mini meet with Jason, the local, being the guide.

Regards,
Kev
