Changing middle row bucket seats for a bench seat?
Hi Guys,
I have been looking at a few L300s and all the ones I have seen have 2 bucket seats in the middle row. I was wondering if swapping a middle bench seat (with the little folding seat on the side) is a simple bolt in? Is it even possible? I think the bench seat would be easier to convert into a bed. Also, how hard it is to remove the third row of seats?
Thanks

Not a simple bolt in switch. Completely different. Third row is easy, 4 bolts to remove.

Happy Day!

Everything is possible... Just not necessarily convenient.

As far as I could tell the floor has all the necessary bolt holes for the other seats, the issue is with the carpet. But the carpet appears to remove very easily as well, so if you're going so far as to swap the seats get the carpet from the same van while you're at it.
*note, I never actually pulled my carpet up to verify that the bolt holes are there, but I highly doubt they left the factory as separate floor pans for different seating arrangements.

My ideal van would have swivel front seats, middle buckets and a custom sleeping platform in the rear with pull out drawers, but I have neither the swivel fronts, or middle buckets, so I'll make do with my middle bench. I took off the stupid third jumper seat though, it was only really any good as an arm rest

Changing middle row bucket seats for a bench seat?
Hi I'm brand new to the forum. I don't own a Delica yet, but am about to buy one.
The problem, and my reason for posting here is that the one I want has 2 buckets in the middle and I'd like to put in a 2+1 bench so that I can fit my whole family.
I know that it is not a simple bolt in solution, my question is to you who know the vans better than I is this: How difficult or how much modifications would it take to get the middle buckets swapped with a 2+1 bench?
Thank you so much for any help in figuring this out! I really want a Delica but only if it fits the fam.

What kind of changes did you have to make? I don't have the van yet (still trying to wade through import process/costs). Are the mounting brackets in different places?ChuckBlack wrote:of course it is possible... I just did the swap! Front bench to captain chairs...
