I'm not sure if anyone here can answer my question, but I thought I would give it a try!
I Have a 1991 JDM spec Pajero which translates into a 1992 U.S. spec Montero.
I have the 4d56T Diesel engine, but need to know if the CV axles from the gasoline Montero will fit the Pajero.
Anyone? Anyone?
Thank you in advance for any help.
BP.

I thought since the Delica is the Pajero frame and engine with a different body, that someone here would know. Also, to my knowledge, there is no Pajero forum.

Almost- Delica running gear is sort of based on Pajero, but (among other things) the front diff is smaller.
If you knew chassis codes for a JDM Pajero and a US Montero (google is your friend here), you could see if they use the same part numbers here: http://www.partsbase.org/mitsubishi/
Alternatively, the Delica.ca Pajero forum is here: http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewforum.php?f=51

Thank you! That was a great help! That parts link seems to indicate that the V43 gas and v44 Diesel have the same axles.
You made my day! Thanks again,
BP

It's in the board index under Delica Canada Technical> Pajero, Strada, Mitsubishi Vanwagon, Mitsubishi Kei.BulletProof wrote:I thought since the Delica is the Pajero frame and engine with a different body, that someone here would know. Also, to my knowledge, there is no Pajero forum.
I've also moved this thread to that forum.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, I could've corroborated your findings... v6 3000 shares almost everything with the small diesel and the v6 3500 shares with the bigger 2800 diesel. Except the engine. LOL.BulletProof wrote:Punkrawker:

Just bear in mind that when comparing North American montero and JDM pajero, you have to add a year to the NA version for the same thing...
