I managed to find the bulb at the base of the parking pole on my new to me 98 L400. It would be so cool to have that little green thing light up! But where can I find a replacement? I believe it is a BA6s and so far I'm striking out even on eBay. Amy suggestions wise ones?

Re: Parking pole light bulb
Its likely the bulb you have has changed up its part number over the years.
Take the old bulb to a Napa, PartSource, Canadian tire, other and get the parts guy/gal to find something with the same plug end and wattage so you don't melt the plastic nub on the end of the parking pole which are impossible to replace!
I have some plastic molding experience and I am going to try and make my own green/amber/red/blue parking pole end as my own pole never had the nub when I got it.
Anyone in Calgary have a parking pole with the colored nub that might let me take an impression of it for molding purposes? Could make a few and sell them on the forum.

Thanks big Bird. I have a green min pole end of you're ever in Vancouver! No one seems to have the bulb but it is a BA7s. I think. EBay is sending two and I'll post when I know it fits for sure.

Re: Parking pole light bulb
Just noticed this thread. I'm reliably informed by someone who is never wrong (yes dear) that BA6S is a very unusual size- possibly even nonexistent. BA5S and BA7S are more common. I also wonder if you could fit a coloured LED bulb?
(BA= Bayonet base, 7=7mm diameter, S=Single filament)

Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.

Yes I thought a 6 but no, appears to be a seven. Will post when I get it in. Don't know about LED.
