Glow plug sources

It's the time of year where I notice how many of my Delica L400's glow plugs have died since spring. I'm about to check them. Since I've got one spare glow plug sitting on the shelf, I'm betting that two have died. Which brings me to my question: Where are folk buying their glow plugs? I've bought from Mardy in the past and have no complaints. In fact, I will probably end up buying from him this time as well, but it never hurts to shop around.

There are a couple of vendors on EBay, at least one in China and at least one in Australia. I buy electronic components from EBay all the time, but glow plugs are a different matter.

Rising Sun Imports has an EBay listing for glow plugs that are compatible with the 4M40 in my L400.

An Australian EBay seller has a listing with a much better price, even including shipping. Maybe those plugs are a good value, maybe not. Does anybody have any experience with the ETecno1 brand?

I bought mine off ebay as well, there's a variety just make sure you get the correct voltages, some of the older delicas are 6V not 12

Some stuff is generic, but I buy my glow plugs from Steven at Rising Sun. Never had a problem and like the idea of know I've got the right stuff going in my engine bay.

BE AWARE
So far Ive discovered two businesses that should know what they are doing selling the WRONG PLUG for the 4M40 2.8 turbo diesel.
Lordco sold me an NGK plug (2161 Y-116R1) that they assured me was a correct replacement part even though I showed them how different it was
from my OEM ones I was replacing.
Then I discovered Japanoid. By the picture on their webpage they are selling the same or similar plug as Lordco.

SO HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED
3 months later I found a local mechanic (about 1.5hrs away) that knows Delicas. He looked up the plug # I was using and told me to change them out
Right Away!
He gave me this plug # NGK 90066 CZ256. These had to be ordered in - from Lordco. They are a tapered narrow tip like the OEM ones I removed in May.
The first set of replacement plugs was the result of a *JDM guy* at my local Lordco looking up the part for me. The result was that the plug fit and my van started and ran fine BUT the diameter of the tip was too large and was burning on the sides where it was too close to the head. One of the plugs had melted so much the tip broke off.
Now I am getting ready to start up with the Right Plugs and am hoping and praying that there is no serious damage

Sadly the onus is on the installer to compare the replacement part with the original. There is enough reference material available out there that the obvious difference in the two parts could have been verified before installation and any damage avoided.
