Fellow Delica owners,
I live in NYC and own a 1990 Delica Exceed. It's an automatic 4x4. I just took the Delica in to my mechanic for a new timing belt and since it is going to be disassembled I am considering a new radiator. On Amazon I have found a Spectra (brand) cu188 radiator speced for a dodge d50/ram. Can anyone tell me if this is the proper radiator for my Delica as per what is available in the states?
Regards!!

Well, at first glance the outlet on the filler neck is pointing in the wrong direction, the expansion tank is to the left of the rad looking forward from the rear of the Deli. The upper and lower openings look about the same, but I would be wary. It would be worth your while to give a place like rocky mountain Imports a call and pick their brain. They're real nice people AND they stock the correct rad. It's more expensive than that Spectra (not by a lot though) and I feel the rad is good place to spend the extra cash to get the right part.
Have you tried calling around to your local Mitsu Dealers with the Mitsu part number? I was surprised how many things I could get from them.
The rad part number is MB356343 and I just called my local mitsu stealership and they could get it on order for 867.00 RMI is way cheaper than that for the correct rad.

Oh, and worth mentioning is that the Only place the Deli rad attaches with a bolt is not on that D50 Rad. The Deli rad has two rubber grommet's (feet) that sit in holes on the bottom rad mount and attaches to the Deli body with one bolt at the top, right of center on the rad. I do not see that on the one you found. I would try to get a more correct unit.

Morgonzo,
Thanks for taking the time to clarify part fit for me. Saved me from finding out the hard way.

Hey, No problemo
usually i'm such a noob i can't be of much help but I just happened to have finished re-installing my rad when I saw your message so I was fresh with info. Depending on the condition of yours, you might try giving it a very good cleaning (I blew out the front and back with compressed air till there was no debris coming out, then flushed with water both sides re-blow out and left to fully dry) and I opened up all the smashed closed cooling fin openings on the front and back of the rad with a small metal pick. I got the thermostat in today along with the upper and lower rad hoses but I ran out of time today to finish it all up but hopefully it worked and my rad will be happy with me for awhile.
How bad is your rad?
