I just discovered yesterday after starting my engine up while I cleaned the snow off, that I had heated exterior mirrors.
Is this a standard feature? I haven't noticed before as we haven't had much snow. The mirrors get quite warm to the touch. Within about a minute of turning on the rear defrost the snow had begun to melt and was running down the mirror. The face of it was warm to the touch. Quite a bit warmer and the mirrors defrost much quicker than on my Chevy Silverado with heated mirrors.
I had left the wipers up last night and the entire windshield was lightly dusted with snow. This gave me a good opportunity to see how the defroster at the bottom of the windshield worked. As you can see by the attached pic it works very well. The pic was taken about a minute after I turned on the front windshield defroster. It warms the windshield in the spots exactly where the wipers park.
The pic illustrates it nicely.
Pretty cool feature.

Nice. Mine has the wires there but its not working. I check if my mirrors get hot when I turn it on. Mine is a 95 royal exceed.

Heated Mirrors!
wondered how to test them. Never knew if the defrost on the window really worked or not.

Heated Mirrors!
I wasn't really too sure if mine was working either. That's why I thought I'd try with the snow on the window.
I haven't looked but there may be a way to see & test the connections from under the hood. I'll have a look when I get a chance this weekend.
The mirrors were quite warm to the touch so they probably would be easy to feel if they were working.
