LED Headlight Bulbs

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

LED Headlight Bulbs

Growlerbearnz wrote:Ah! Right. Delicas before 1990(ish) have rectangular semi-sealed beam headlamps which take the larger bulbs (and that's what they were talking about above, I think). If you've got the all-in-one curved headlamp with projector low beam (1990-ish and later) you'll need a pair of H1 and H3 bulbs instead.

I have Philips X-treme Vision H1s (https://www.amazon.com/Philips-X-Treme- ... B004G395NU) and Osram Nightbreaker H3s (https://www.amazon.com/OSRAM-Night-Brea ... B00FQ8AQI2).

Philips do a "Crystal Vision" H3 which is as bright as the X-treme Vision, but they have a blue tint which reduces light output and makes you look like a twat.
BINGO! Thanks again GB.

LED Headlight Bulbs

There's a thread on here somewhere that Mardy wrote years ago. He found that 2 of the 3 wires going into the light are in the wrong place for some reason or other. The 2 on the left and right need to be switched. They're just spade connections so not too hard. One of mine wouldn't come out so I just cut and soldered them the other way around. Definitely made for brighter lights. Hope it helps

Have been looking to replace my headlights as well. My low beams are especially dim and could really use something brighter. Are you talking L300 or L400 in this thread, or does it matter? I am in a L400 first gen 1995. Would it also take the H1 and H3?

Just realized this was posted in the L300 thread. From what I can find online looks like the L400 1st gen takes H1 and H4 bulbs. Can anyone confirm?

The bulbs in my post are from a '91 L300 flat-top. Strange looking things they are.
