Hi,
powered side step [passenger seat] just stopped working. Doors warning light keeps flashing when you drive and even shortly after you turn off the engine.
Lights are working properly [on when door is open, off when door is closed]. I'm able to pull out step from underneath the vehicle by hand.
Auto step switch on/off has no effect on problem
Anybody with same issue or idea how to fix this?
Space gear Chamonix 99 located in Calgary
Thanks in advance
Tomas
ps: I have read thru older forum and I'd like to get more ppl/experiences involved

My power side step under the sliding van door (I think we are talking about the same thing) did that.Thomasdontgiveacrap wrote:Hi,

If I opened the door the step wouldn't come out unless I gave it a little tug, and when I closed the door it would go back most of the way but the light would flash until I gave it a push in.
I just got under there and cleaned all the moving parts and lubed everything up and it's worked good ever since.

Updated. Have no idea how but that thing fixed itself.... must be electric issue cose of I had to unplug battery for some time due to other repairs and it works just fine....
Well, good enough I guess
