Researching Postings Again...

Hello all...

Not making it here anything like as often as I used to. My L400 just keeps going and going and going...

So this past year, I did *not* get the posting I had been threatened with, that being Cold Lake. But I'm still being threatened with one more posting before I run out the clock on my military career, and I'm doing a little research into where. Two possibilities are Greenwood and Halifax, both (obviously) in the lovely province of Nova Scotia. So what is the situation there for owners of Delicas and other JDM vehicles? Are there places where they can be fixed and maintained? What about insurance and registration?

Similar question for Winnipeg, Manitoba, and North Bay, Ontario.

Hi Radar. I live in Manitoba, an hour and a half outside of Winnipeg. Insuring your van here would be relatively easy as long as it passed a provincial safety inspection. That went smoothly for me at a local repair shop. I will also get a wheel alignment done there shortly. I pay between 800 to 900 dollars a year. That includes a 2 million dollar liability insurance. I just had my windshield replaced and it only cost me the 200 dollar deductible.
I assume you van is a diesel? You should winterize your van, using lighter oil and stronger coolant concentration. I installed a espar heater on mine (posted it here). I love my espar. My van never had a coldstart all winter long.
