Gasoline vs diesel
Found a van I'm interested in. Any thoughts/recommendations on buying a L400 with a gasoline engine vs diesel?

I would think the diesel has a more demanded for option.
The only reason I know about these van is cause of a search option. I wanted to get more out of a van then just hauling the family around. I like them for there uniqueness. But love them for the diesel option.
I do believe the story goes that Japan outlawed diesels within the city limits in 98-99 thats why there is a gasoline option.
The ones with the scoop in the hood are all diesels.

I just started driving a diesel and so far I'm having a blast! It's a bit of a learning curve for me as I've always driven a gas vehicle. I'm asking questions here on this awesome forum and I'm lucky to have a fantastic mechanic that can help me as well. As for parts I've been getting mine from the great folks at Coombs Country Auto. Sorry for straying off topic but I'm super excited to be finally driving my Delica!

I don't mind the V6 engine (I've driven a few, but don't own one). The extra power is nice on the highway and I imagine they're easier to service, being the same engine fitted to a bunch of Mitsubishis and Chryslers. They're a bit thirstier than the diesels though.
I still find a diesel suits me better. The extra torque is nice for towing and hauling heavy things, and I don't drive particularly fast anyway.
