Hi folks.
I do know this is not the parts sub and I hope I am not breaking all the rules. I figured I would put this here b/c there is more traffic.
My old girl is having fuel tank issues and I am curious to know if anyone knows of anyone in the Maritimes area that has a parted out L300 that I can aquire the front (and probably the rear as well-since that has a 'custom' repair job) fuel tanks.
Much thanks

I can't help with new parts, but what issues are you having?
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.

The front tank's life is over... Need another.
Its rusted out all along the seam in numerous places and a nice few pin holes in the bottom.
Its at a shop about 3 hrs from home, hoping to get some pic's sent to me.
The opinion of the shop is that the tank cant live again....

Bummer. Rust will kill the tank, and the rear tank's probably not much better.
If you catch the rust early enough I recommend POR15 Tank sealer, as long as you follow the instructions it's amazing stuff.
I didn't trust it at first (the marketing sounds a bit breathless and snake-oily), but I've now used it in 3 motorcycle tanks, both tanks on the Mini, and all the Delica's tanks and not yet had it peel or flake (the oldest tank has had the sealer for 17 years now).
