Front Propeller shaft leaking

Post by andrewbowerman1992 »

Hello

I have been leaving large oil spots after parking for several days, I have concluded that the leak is coming from my front propshaft and leaking towards the rear of the car with drips coming from the sleeve flange. Is there a gasket that need replacing? hard to tell from the exploded view on the owners manual (25-1) if so what is the part number? Cant seem to find good information on this topic in the forum search.

What is the solution here? Help me obi wan!

The guide to finding part numbers also includes a few websites with excellent exploded diagrams: http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=17210

In your case, https://partsouq.com/en/catalog/genuine ... =289674&q= shows the transfer case, which is where the front propshaft usually leaks from.

Item 30386 in the diagram is the front propshaft output seal. Part number MD712012, $4.50 from Amayama.com (other suppliers in the FAQ post linked above).

Good luck!
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
